Here at Buncee, we love participating in conferences. They’re a great way to see our friends in education, and to make new friends, all while spreading the word about Buncee! More than anything, we want to get our tools into students’ hands, so they can share their ideas, thinking, and inspiration with confidence. So with that in mind, we’re excited to share all the ways you can Buncee it up at FETC this month in Orlando, Florida!

Join Shannon as she shows you how to take your library to the next level. From signage and branding, to book responses and projects, to fun games, you’ll have students beating down your library doors!

Shannon McClintock Miller is the Future Ready Librarians and Project Connect Spokesperson working with librarians, educators and students around the country in person and online every day. She is Buncee’s Teacher Librarian Advisor and Cantata Learning’s Teacher Librarian Advocate. Shannon is the author of the award winning The Library Voice blog and recently published her first 4 children’s books about library skills with Cantata Learning. Stacey Roshan – Making (Math) Thinking Visual with Buncee – 1:00 PM
From Stacey: “Jo Boaler talks extensively about the need for students to explain their math process and gain a visual understanding of their solutions. Boaler has published books, articles, and studies on the topic – bringing real awareness to the fact that visual math improves performance. The Buncee math activities that I will share in this session are inspired by the research of Jo Boaler and lessons ideas made available through YouCubed. I will share an elementary school activity and a high school activity so that you can see how Buncee can be used across the grades.”

Stacey Roshan is Upper School Technology Coordinator & Math teacher at Bullis School in Potomac, MD. She has a keen interest in discovering and bringing innovative tools into the classroom to engage students and personalize instruction. She has spent a lot of time working to flip the mathematics classroom in an effort to shift the culture to a more participatory learning space, focused on relationships and individual student’s needs. Join Stacy as she takes you through the joy of using Buncee with primary students. She’ll share how her students discovered the power of Buncee for her, as well as what makes Buncee a perfect creation tool for primary students.

Rachelle Dene Poth – Creating Buncee Webquests! – 10:00 AM

Rachelle is a Spanish and STEAM Teacher at Riverview Junior Senior High School in Oakmont, PA. She is the Communications Chair for the ISTE Mobile Learning Network, the President-Elect for the Teacher Education Network. She was selected as the 2017 Outstanding Teacher of the Year by PAECT (the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications in Technology, the PA affiliate of ISTE) and by the NSBA as one of the “20 to watch” educators. She wrote chapter 3 of the Edumatch book “Snapshot in Education 2016” on Blended Learning and Chapter 4 on PBL. Jennifer Hencken – Cultivating a Collaborative Culture in Schools – 12:00 PM
Join Jennifer as she shows how she uses Buncee with the faculty to lead collaboration by modeling it, with a special focus on reaching the grassroots with the new faculty and their mentors. She will provide some of the sample activities to the group too for them to do and see the beauty of Buncee by sharing their voices too.

This last year the committee celebrated their 150th website and this year we will be adding 25 more! Come find out about the winners. You will learn how to use these tools and hear project ideas for each.
