Summer Reading Sparks Contest

We have some exciting news! Capstone and Buncee are teaming up this summer to bring you an exciting opportunity to engage your students in summer reading & journaling.

The Capstone and Buncee team love reading and wanted to offer a fun way to encourage students to learn, read, and create all summer long. After a bit of brainstorming, an idea was sparked! We’re now thrilled to bring you the Summer Reading Sparks Contest!

To enter, have your students journal their summer reading by creating Buncees. Students can read books and articles from Capstone’s beautiful digital library and on PebbleGo & PebbleGo Next, all of which Capstone is offering for free to schools this entire summer. The top three schools with the most Buncee reading journals will win! First place winners will receive Buncee & PebbleGo accounts for their school for one year, a Library Skills book set published by Cantata Learning and written by Shannon Miller and arranged and produced by Emily Arrow , and…

An Ice Cream Party!

Additionally, we will be offering a #SummerSparks prompt each week for students to research and respond to using Buncee and Capstone resources. These questions will encourage students to ponder, research, explore and create. Families can find the #SummerSparks prompts on Buncee.com and on social.

Share your Summer Reading Sparks activities on social with the #SummerSparks hashtag!

So, how do you get started? Stay tuned for the official contest sign-up form and rules on Buncee.com and on social with the #SummerSparks hashtag, coming out in the next couple of days! In the meantime, read Shannon Miller’s article on student research using Buncee & PebbleGo and this blog on fun lessons to learn about animal adaptions in the library.

Happy reading!
