Buncee Boards are digital bulletin boards within your virtual Buncee classroom. Buncee Boards allow you to create a collection of Buncees to share publicly or directly to one person. Whether you’re collecting all of your students’ Buncees in one place, working with colleagues and sharing lessons, or bringing together Buncees from classrooms around the world – Buncee Boards are there for you!
Buncee Boards also enable students and community members to see each others creations and comment on each others work – fostering digital citizenship, peer review skills, and community engagement. Learn more about commenting on Buncee Boards.

1. Team Project Board
Your students are studying different ecosystems in groups. Dole out the assignments – Timmy, you’ve got desert animals. Kulap, you’re desert plants. Howard – weather and climate. Bret – do the food web. Now, have that team set up and share a Buncee Board for their ecosystem, and all of their pieces can exist together as part of the whole!
2. Notebook Sharing
If your students are taking all of their science notes in Buncee, take it to the next level, and crowdsource the knowledge. Have your kids share their notes on the chapter to a Buncee Board. Then kids can comment, compare notes with each other easily, and use the group understanding as a way to get a leg up on the topic!!
3. Read Aloud Responses
Whether you’re asking your students to recreate a scene from a book, or to share their thoughts on a chapter, a Buncee Board of their creations is a great way for students to learn that not everybody sees the book in the same way. I know when I’m reading, I see the book through my eyes, but by sharing ideas, I can see it from someone else’s point of view, too.
4. Classroom Booksnap “Bookshelf” of Reviews
Here’s a great way for your students to share book reviews of books they’ve enjoyed: Have them create video reviews, #booksnaps, or #booktrailers, and share them on your Class Bookshelf Buncee Board!
5. Personal Portfolios
Whether your students are curating their “Best-ofs”, or you’re putting together a greatest hits list as you update your resume, Buncee Boards are a great way for one person to shout out or share their accomplishments.
6. Digital Citizenship Opportunities
This isn’t a separate board, but a great opportunity, one we’ve had requests for here at Buncee. Because the boards have both commenting ability and reaction emoticons, they give you the chance to talk to your students about how to be constructive commenters. As teachers we’ve practiced this for years when we have peer review time for student writing. In today’s world, it’s just as important (maybe more so?) that we practice that online as well. Once those comments are there, though, the board’s creator retains control. Your settings allow you to approve comments, and even to delete comments that aren’t appropriate.
7. Lesson Share
Whether you share ideas with your grade level team, across your district, or across your global PLN, try using a Buncee Board to share lessons and Buncee assignments. Not only is it a great way to make your ideas grow, it’ll be a great source of inspiration through collaboration!
8. Classroom Culture Boards
It’s Matteo’s birthday, Charlotte’s getting her tonsils out, Brian and Brinley’s dog just passed away. Give your students a chance to celebrate special events, or to support each other through life’s ups and downs. Imagine how Charlotte will feel when she gets the link to the Get Well, Charlotte board from her hospital bed as she recuperates from tonsil surgery!
9. Sharing Students’ Favorite Inspirational Quotes
Picking inspirational quotes and finding the right backgrounds and design to fit them is a great way to support positive values while also helping students hone their design skills. Take it a step further, and give them a well to dip into when they need a little motivation!
10. Field Trip Response Board
Parents spend money, and you spend lots of time getting ready for a field trip. And so often, when you get back from wherever it is you’ve gone, the kids are dead tired. Nobody wants to fill out a worksheet then! Give your students the task of creating, and then share it. You’ll help build class memories, give your kids a place for any photos, and you might find that someone might have caught something that everyone else missed! You know parents will love hearing about the field trip as well.
These are only a handful of ways to use Buncee Boards, we’d love to hear your ideas for how you can use Boards in your classroom. Send us your ideas @Buncee on Twitter or email info@buncee.com!
