Wow! When Holiday Hugs from Buncee first started, our goal was to bring a little joy to children who were spending the holidays in hospitals. Students were encouraged to create Holiday Hug Buncees containing holiday greetings and well wishes, then share them to a Buncee Board. Amy Storer founded this beautiful initiative, and we worked together with our community to gather as many Holiday Hug Buncees as we could. We were astounded at the overwhelmingly supportive response from our community. Altogether, over 1000 Holiday Hugs Buncees were created! Students from across the globe came together to spread some love this holiday season, from as far away as Argentina and Australia!
We are truly astonished and touched by the enormous outpouring of love we’ve seen from you all. Amy Storer shared her heartfelt thanks with everyone with a Buncee video message:
We were thrilled to help spread some holiday cheer to children in hospitals, but we were also hoping this project would help encourage empathy in students. Happily, it seems Holiday Hugs from Buncee was able to do just that! Students were eager to create and share some holiday joy with others. Amy Storer shared some thoughts her students had while creating and sharing their Holiday Hug Buncees:
In addition to the 1000+ Buncees that have been shared online, the Buncee Team printed out Buncees, and delivered them to children in hospitals in the New York area! Hospital staff shared the Buncees with patients, and used them as decorations to brighten up the hallways.

Together, you made the holidays truly special for children going through a difficult time. We are continually inspired by the wonderful students and educational professionals in our community, and we look forward to another year of sharing, learning, and inspiring others as we move forward into 2020. From all of us at Buncee, we thank you for sharing the love!
