New Feature: Simple Login on Buncee

Big news – Buncee’s making it even easier for students to login to their accounts! Sometimes its hard to remember passwords and for very young students, sometimes the tougher this can become! We wanted to help, so we’re introducing Simple Login for Buncee.

If you choose Simple Login for your students, rather than assigning a password to go with their login, they’re assigned a combination of two pictures. You can take those as they come, or you and your students can pick your own combination of pictures from a list of choices as shown below.

There are two ways you can enable Simple Login for your students. You can either change it for each student, or select multiple students and change it for them all at once. For either case, you’ll have to create your students’ accounts first and set their passwords as you normally have (visit this link to learn how). Once you have students in your account, you can update their password type and Enable Simple Login for them by following the steps described below:

Option 1:  To enable Simple Login for individual students

When logged into your classroom dashboard, select the Classes tab on the top left of your screen and choose the class with the student that you want to enable simple login for. For that student, select Edit, which will open a popup where you can turn the toggle on for Enable Simple Login, as shown in the GIF above. There, you can then select Change Password Images, where you’ll be able to choose 2 images for your student to use as their password. That’s it!

Option 2:  To enable Simple Login for multiple students:

To enable Simple Login for multiple students, click on the Classes tab on the top left of your screen and select the the class with the students that you want to enable simple login for. Click the checkbox next to their names, then select Change Password on the top right of your screen – as shown in the GIF above. This will open a popup where you can turn the toggle on for Enable Simple Login. Click Change Password Images, where you’ll be able to choose 2 images for your students to use as their password. After selecting the 2 images, hit Save then Update! Each student you selected will now be able to login with that password combination.

It’s that simple! Now when it’s time to login, students can either login from a standard password, or by remembering their username and two pictures. Note: The simple login feature is only available to student accounts you’ve created on Buncee. So, if your students login to their account via Google or Microsoft, they can login like they normally have!
