Laurie Guyon is a TOSA Integration Specialist for Schuylerville Central Schools in New York. Prior to taking on this role, Laurie taught sixth grade ELA. Three years ago, Laurie had the opportunity to pilot a 1:1 iPad initiative which started her path to learn how to use technology effectively in the classroom. Excited by the initial growth and opportunity the iPads brought, Laurie has researched, explored, and hosted courses on best practices for integration. She built a strong personal learning network through Twitter and Google+ to keep up to date on new and innovative apps and websites. Laurie is a Recap Pioneer, a Teacher Leader with the EdTech Team, teacher innovator for Amazon Inspire, Google Educator, Apple Teacher, and a Nearpod PionNear, and a Seesaw Ambassador. Laurie has written as a guest blogger for the EdTechTeam, and has presented at various conferences including NERIC Tech Awareness Day and NYSCATE. Laurie believes that technology integration has opened up new opportunities for students. Students can learn in ways that meet their individual needs, at their pace, and in their own way, when technology is used effectively. Laurie’s motto is to smile, and lead with kindness, always.

Learning is always fun!
PROUDEST MOMENT OF YOUR EDUCATION CAREER:
Every day is a proud moment… but one of the proudest has been seeing a completely reluctant and defiant reader grow into a student who is reading Harry Potter with confidence and writing “I love reading!” all over her papers.
WHY DID YOU WANT TO BECOME A BUNCEE AMBASSADOR?
I’d love to be able to grow by sharing and collaborating on ideas with other teachers who have also seen the positive and engaging impact of Buncee in their classroom!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BUNCEES?
